FREEDOM LIFE CHURCH has deep roots.

It all started in 1980 when James & Linda Pixler planted Cornerstone Apostolic Church in Fort Worth, TX. They served as pastors until 1999 when Steve & Jeana Pixler assumed pastoral leadership. From then on, James Pixler was affectionately known to the Cornerstone family as “Bishop.” Bishop passed away in April, 2018, but all who knew him honor his memory and ministry. We owe everything to our founding pastors’ faithfulness!

Steve & Jeana served as pastors at Cornerstone for 17 years, and in 2017, led a re-location and re-launch of Cornerstone Church as Freedom Life Church in Mansfield. Freedom Life Church re-launched as an Association of Related Churches (ARC) plant, and we are deeply grateful for the impetus that ARC gave us from day one.

Freedom Life Church is a non-denominational, Spirit-filled church. We welcome people from all religious traditions—and those with no religious background. Our goal is “to help people live free as transformed people, family, church and culture.” When people find the true freedom that is only found in Christ, they are transformed. Then, they release that transformation into their family, church and culture. This is how the kingdom of God comes in the world!
